The education sector in Akwa Ibom State has seen monumental strides owing particularly to the free, compulsory and qualitative education initiated by the Godswill Akpabio administration where the cost of education in Primary and Secondary school is free. The implementation of the policy has continued with the administration of His Excellency Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the programme is anchored on Government’s desire to produce a workforce that would be globally competitive, in a world that is increasingly being shaped by technology.
